Important Information for the 2017 Truro Half Marathon

Registration

Please note that registration will now take place in the Hall for Cornwall Foyer on Boscawen Street. TR1 2NE.  There will be signage from Lemon Quay, it is just around the corner. The start and finish area will remain on Lemon Quay. As such there will be no marquee on the piazza.

Registration on the day will be split into the following groups:

- Pre-registered unaffiliated (i.e. non-club runner) entries surnames A - M

- Pre-registered unaffiliated entries surnames N - Z

- Cornish GP Clubs

- Entries on the day

As per other GP events the race numbers for the Cornish Clubs will be grouped together in an envelope which includes a list of those entered along with their shirt size, and if any payment is due. If a runner does not wish to take the numbers for their club then please hand this back to the registration team. Please note that when collecting the race numbers each club will have a bag with their shirts in, the entry list and race numbers have been marked with the size given on the entry form/block entry. Red for males and blue for female. Please note that the fit is different on a ladies shirt so the sizing between each blue and red will be different.

There will be a baggage store provided by Truro Removals.  This will be on the piazza.

Start/finish

The race starts at 9:30 so be ready on Lemon Quay by 9:15 please.

Please dispose of rubbish such as water bottles/wrappers etc in the bins provided on the piazza.

Cornwall Search and Rescue will be providing medical assistance should anyone required it during or post race.  Although I hope no one will need any help!

Duchy Hospital will be providing post-run massage on the piazza.

Also on the piazza will be Truro Leisure Centre Representatives, Cornish Food Box Co, Espresso Cornwall and St Agnes Ices.

Do not throw rubbish out on the course. Please give this to a marshal.

Rules

As per all GP events MP3 players/ipods and earphones are banned.

You need to complete the course in 3 hours.  Failure to do so may result in you being redirected onto a shorter route and consequently you will not appear in the results.

Other matters

There is no allocated race day parking.  Please use the public car parks.

Please note that I am away this weekend for the GNR so may not be able to respond to any queries.

See you on race day.

Many thanks

Diane on behalf of Truro Running Club
