Impressive international debut for Yoyo Barnsley in Cardiff

Yoyo was selected to run for England as part of a Home Counties International at the Cardiff Cross on Sunday 24th January.  

As an Under 17 she was part of a very strong Under 20 Junior Women's team, which included Under 20 European silver medallist Harriet Knowles-Jones, Lucy Holt and Catrina Thomas. 

The event took place at the Blackweir Park by Cardiff Castle in the centre of the city.  The Junior Women's race was 5K and Yoyo ran strongly to finish 6th, coming home as the 3rd scoring England vest to give England the team win.  

Yoyo was thrilled with the whole experience, especially as she has been unable to train fully with an ongoing groin strain.   Now she hopes to have time to recuperate and get back to full fitness.
