Cornwall AC is very fortunate to have an excellent team of over thirty UKA qualified coaches and officials, covering the entire range of Track and Field events, Cross Country and Road Running. We are always anxious to recruit more people into coaching and the Club will consider providing financial assistance for those attending England Athletic courses. We would particularly like to increase our coaching team in the throwing events and with the Under 11 group.
We encourage newcomers who may be interested in coaching to begin by working alongside our qualified coaches as volunteers and then to attend an online Coaching Assistant / Leadership in Running and Fitness course. All our existing coaches are more than happy to support those new to coaching.
We are also keen to recruit more volunteers to train as Officials (both track and field and endurance) in roles such as timekeeping, starting, field judging etc.
Our coaches and officials are also encouraged to seek opportunities to improve their qualifications and therefore further develop their knowledge and skills. In addition, all club officials/coaches are DBS checked and must attend safeguarding / protecting children and first aid courses.
For all coaching enquiries, please contact our Coaching Secretary, Mark Tunstall.
For all officials enquiries, please contact our Track and Field Chair, Karen Robilliard.
We are always looking to recruit new people to coach our members.
If you are interested in becoming a coach at Cornwall Athletic Club please contact our Coaching Secretary, Mark Tunstall - whether it's Track and Field events, Cross County or Road Running, if you want to be involved in coaching, please make contact here.
We look forward to hearing from you!
