Cornwall Athletic Club, popularly known as CAC, is the largest and most successful athletics club in the county and we warmly welcome new members.

The club was established on 1 January 1984, as a result of the amalgamation of two long established clubs, Duchy of Cornwall Athletic Club and West Cornwall Athletic Club.

The Club meets at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Pool, Redruth, TR15 3QS and the main training evenings are Tuesday and Thursday, beginning at 6.00pm.  Training takes place throughout the year.  In the winter the track is floodlit and a range of indoor facilities are also available.

Cornwall Athletic Club offers the full range of Track and Field events, under the supervision of qualified coaches. We have over twenty England Athletic (EA) qualified coaches who have completed DBS checks and undertaken UK Athletics Safeguarding training as part of their qualification.

There is also a very strong Road Running section and in the winter Cross Country is the main form of competition, although the younger members take part in the increasingly popular Sportshall Athletics.

We welcome new members of ALL AGES and ABILITIES, from beginners to experienced athletes and provide a full range of competition opportunities, at local, regional and national level.  The minimum age for membership is nine.

All members of CAC (athletes, coaches and officials) plus parents/guardians and volunteers, are required to read and abide by the club policies, procedures and codes of conduct. Please read these on the Club Policies page.
