County Indoor Records set by three CAC athletes....

The 2015 Track and Field season may be just a few weeks away but three Cornwall Athletic Club athletes are already making their mark, setting County Indoor records at the South West Indoor Championships in Cardiff recently.

Ollie Clark, who was ranked number seven in the UK Under 20 Long Jump rankings (7m 20) in 2014, set a new County Indoor Long jump record in Cardiff, leaping 6 metres 99, beating the previous record set thirty five years ago by Mark Hicks (Newquay and Par AC)

Training partner Jordan Walklett, who was ranked at number six in the UK Under 17 Triple Jump rankings (13m 81) in 2014, has moved up to the Under 20 age group in 2015, immediately making an impact, setting a County Indoor Triple Jump record of 13 metres 66, just 15 centimetres below his outdoor best.

Former World and European Masters gold medallist Neil Tunstall set a new County Veterans Indoor record  of 8.95 seconds in the 60metre hurdles.  Neil set the record in the Veterans 40+ race, adding to the Veterans 50+ record (8.85), which he set last year.
