Helen recently moved to Carlisle, heading the News team for the local ITV company but despite her busy schedule, is still planning to be a part of our strong Ladies team in next month's London Marathon.

Here's her latest update, "Training's been hit or miss and I was worried I wouldn't be up for a marathon so I gave mayself an ultimatum last week - if I could run 21 miles, in half decent time, I'd do it.  Ended up running just over 20 miles in around 2:20 so I think that's OK, isn't it.
Bullied myself into doing the Edinburgh Half Marathon yesterday - a real toughy as it's uphill all the way (A to B course) and it was into a very strong wind and hail.  Knocked out 6.30's per mile to finish 5th lady (in the prizes!) in 1.25.20ish time.  Not brill but OK considering."
