Dave and Jayne Angilley, who were watching, say it was too cold for their fingers to work the camera properly.
Lisa Wotton ran with Graham Storer ‘til 15 miles and then the warmth of Jamaica Inn got the better of her but Graham continued on for 135th place in 4.08.35 – not bad for all the races (including Berlin!) he’s done recently.
Closer to the front, Dave Southby was having a stormer in the intermittently heavy rain and finished in a big new pb of 3.06.41 for a fine 13th position and 5th Vet.40. He says he’s looking for sub-3 hours now and with good reason – that run must be worth sub-3 on a good day in London.

Dave, who has completed every Grand Prix race for the last two years, will surely soon come to his senses
Last year at this time, Adrian Ball was in his best ever shape and managed to injure himself easing down 2 days before his big target – the Cornish. He was out for a few months after as well. This year he targeted it again and it all came right this time. He was characteristically cautious early on, running just inside the top ten and was in 5th place at 19 miles, a few minutes down on the leaders. He then came flying through the field, out Bob-Browning Bob Brown in the process, to finish a great 2nd position in 2.54.41. Well done Bally-boy!!

Adrian, on his way to the runner's up spot, battling against the elements
An added bonus for CAC was that Hayle Ladies only managed 3rd team on the day, which means that our girls clinched 3rd overall in the Grand Prix. Congratulations to all and lets improve on that next year!!
