Following the success of Ollie Starr at last year’s Blenheim Triathlon, when he won first place in the Men’s Super Sprint in the 17 – 24 age group, he entered in the Swindon Duathlon last weekend on Sunday 1st April in the Elite group of competitors. The course was a 10k run, a 40k bike ride followed by a 5k run. The race was contested in very strong north westerly winds on the Wroughton Science Museum site. Ollie finished as the 11th Male Elite competitor and provisional results shows that he was the fourth under 23 years old and the second Junior athlete in the race. His race time of 2 hours 15 minutes is under 10 minutes behind the Under 23 Olympic qualifiers record.

Ollie, finishing strongly at Blenheim last year
There is certainly a busy couple of weeks ahead for Ollie, who will be competing in the Mounts Bay Harriers Triathlon on 8th April and in the National Youth and Junior Duathlon championships to be held in Warwickshire on Friday 13th April 2007. Good luck from all at CAC.

....and relaxing after Blenheim
